Before a v1 release I think I'll have to completely review the manual. Right now I'm wondering whether it's OK or necessary to say everything two to four times from different perspectives.
There may be some sense in repeatedly going through the topics on different levels of detail and complexity. But I am afraid that the current state is more the result of me not really knowing the material before writing about it ... I think it's OK since it was an iterative process, and writing the manual triggered further development. But users shouldn't be the ones taking the toll.
I think it is good to have two iterations in the manual, one walk-through from the perspective of what a user really has to do and another one going into depth about what all that means.
