Does the underlying x11vnc invocation contain the "-xkb" switch? It is
important for making the Shift key work correctly across the wire.

We don't currently use the switch, as we use: x11vnc -nopw -ncache 20 -connect
NAME?.
We used other switches, but they weren't compatible with other VNC clients. I
haven't tried -xkb. But if you know that's its compatible with all the others,
then I'm down to add it.

I don't know about compatibility with MacOSX and Win32, I've only used x11vnc
in combination with the vncviewer that is part of the tightvnc package on
Linux. Some time after an x11vnc upgrade, I hit this really difficult bug to
hunt down, and eventually found the solution on this blog post:
