Simplify the monitor loop and ensure it keeps running.

It has been a long time since I had free time to give this repo some love.

This looks like a good PR though, I will review it tomorrow and release a new version.

This fix has been released as v0.3.7.

Grat Lucas... check my pull request as well... volume buttons were not working for me and I somehow fixed it... at least for my tv :))
