Render a depth image #27

Dear developers,

would it be easy to send the Z-buffer as a depth image ? It seems Ogre can do that (https://forums.ogre3d.org/viewtopic.php?t=38354). I am totally new to Ogre so I am not sure how hard this would be. Any hints on how to do this ?
