This has been deemed by me a worse workflow...
if you need to stack full width panes, you're better off just opening a new tab!
Does this make sense? What do you guys prefer?
let's discuss this for a while and then make a decision in a few weeks
closing this since this has been deemed a worse workflow
Im reopening this
More often than not, I just want a zellij tab to contain
so we could make this the default behavior, and whenever the user wants two panes vertically split, they can just press ctrl p
and then r
(which splits to the right)
this will come with v5
apparently a side-effect of stacking the pane next to the yazi sidebar is that when you open a file from yazi it auto-finds the helix pane for some reason??
who am I to complain...
the v5 branch is currently running this. lets test it for a while to catch bugs
closing this since its implemented in the v5 branch
instead of making the first two panes split vertically, make the second pane be created already stacked with the first pane
so no more vertical splitting by default
ok but what if I need to split vertically? just type
ctrl p + r
for a split to the rightThis would focus on a single pane using all the width avaiable. Would make sense to launch this along the helix scheme file tree, when the plugin system is ready
