Yes, there has to be a gap of at least 2px between the waves.

It would be neat if we were also consistent with sunset/sunrise's arrows, but we should also take into consideration visual weight and gravity.

Column 4 is square as reference. Row 1 is sunset/sunrise for reference

Possible designs:

• Row 2 uses the same arrows as the ones above + the same waves spaced at the same distance as waves, but it's too bottom heavy and too altogether a bit too large.
• Row 3 uses 1px less space between waves so is not entirely consistent w/ waves, but is more in line when it comes to visual weight and centre of gravity.
• Row 4 uses a single line from waves at the same exact position, but is maybe a bit too small

@karsa-mistmere The last one might be a bit hard to tell what it is without enough context so I would say that the 3rd row looks best

I think I will vote for row 2. Row 3 also looks good but, I doubt how it will look on 100% scale. Can we maybe have 100 scale versions @karsa-mistmere ?

@karsa-mistmere, row 3 looks great. Here's an alternative: more centered with 2px between waves and 4px between the arrow and the first wave.

What do you think about this @zoharma, @ericfennis, @JanTrichter, @jguddas ?

This way there isn't actually a 2px gap between the wave lines, I'm afraid:

We need a continuous gap of at least 2px so that things will appear neat with a 3px stroke width, which is not the case in this scenario:

@danielbayley I think this looks fine although I share the same criticism as @karsa-mistmere. I think we need to make a trade off though since all the proposals so far are lacking in one or more areas.

@danielbayley I would say the first two. I think this one should not be perfectly fitted in/next to a square. The sunset and sunrise icons also don't match that shape.
