Icon name

circle-incomplete

Use cases

The goal is to have a middle state bewteen a circle and an disc (as the circle is partially filled)

This shape could also be declined for other shape (square, triangle, octogon, etc.)

Design ideas

The icon must keep the same concept as other circle-* (and pretty similar to the linear example)

• a line around the circle
• a "empty" space after the line
• a shape inside of a "half disc" (on left or right, whatever it can be rotate in css)

Maybe something like this, bridging the dotted circle with the full circle?

Could also be used as a symbol for contrast.

Another option could be to rethink your iconography: instead of using half and full circles, you could use clock and circle-check, for example. (see: https://ux.stackexchange.com/a/97045)
