Maybe facilitate Project Blacklight separating MARC handling into a separate, easy plugin.

something like: "blacklight-solr-marc" library/gem and only pulled it in when asked to do so (gem install blacklight-solr-marc, task to install JARs, task to index MARC file, mapping.properties files, etc)
