Thanks @ms-studio for the thorough comment. I agree with you and we have been talking about making it more discoverable and easier to use (we started with expanded Readme.md on wordcamp-style-guide). Your comment is spot on. As we are currently in the process of wrapping up everything for WCEU 2018, our resources are limited, but I'll try to put in a few hours into fixing this.
@ms-studio I created a document with some general observations as a way to share our findings of working on the styles which might be helpful for more WordCamps.
Here is the link if you want to see some thoughts so far or contribute! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WKBH--sGJoRm8qKtTBLCVg4HuWabOwQRJe0RkaJVkOE/edit?usp=sharing
This repository is currently (May 2018) the most actively maintained CSS system for the "CampSite 2017" theme.
For other WordCamps who want to use this theme, it's probably the best place to start forking.
When I was looking for ressources, around April / May 2018, in order to launch the website of WordCamp Lausanne, I didn't notice this repo, and used the styles of the 2017 edition as a base.
The reason is that most online ressources are pointing to the WCEU-2017 version. It would be a good idea to update those references:
PS, I'm only seeing now that there's yet another repository: https://github.com/lucijanblagonic/wordcamp-style-guide
It would be great to give other WordCamp web teams an easier start, by pointing to the most recommended starter CSS repository. That would also clarify where issues / improvements / pull requests should happen.
Cheers, Manuel
