Choosing the "vanilla" option at startup sets all the graphics options correctly but not the keyboard controls, they just stay as the modern WASD rather than the original Doom-like controls.
I can set them myself, but there is no strafe key - left Alt in the original game. I tried mimicking the behaviour by setting Alt as a modifier with the arrow keys, but that doesn't work as the arrow keys are also used for turning, so you strafe and turn at the same time.
