Create an invalid go file and format it

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should see the errors that are reported from gofmt.  Instead I see a pop-up 
error saying that gofmt failed

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Here is a patch to convert the gofmt errors into error markers.
