thank you page opens several times

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install the extension
2. close and reopen chrome a few times
3. the page opens (even though it has been seen before)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

the thank you page should only show after extension installation 
(preferably not at all, in my own opinion, because it is annoying)
