Search Bar Disappears

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Features selected (+options for each feature): The search bar appears 
briefly (maybe 3 seconds) when Reader is first loaded then disappears.  It does 
not matter if I pull it up in Comfortable, Cozy, or Compact.

3. What is the expected output? Search bar at top of Reader

4. What do you see instead? It starts with "A look at what's new in your 
reader" then "New in your Subscriptions".  With the Subscribe button in sidebar 
and list of links and folders.  

What is your version of GoogleReaderPlus ?  No clue

(I cannot pull up this below.  It says non-existent.)
What version of the product are you using?  (copy/paste from about:version
+ preferences/SysInfo)

On what operating system - Windows(XP, Vista...), Linux(Ubuntu, Debian...),
MacOs(9, X...)?  Windows 7

Which others extensions are installed ?

Some options like "compact layout" remove search bar.
Did you activate this feature ?
If not, give me screenshot and detailled informations about your selected 
features in ReaderPlus configuration.
