Wired Tether, once connected, reboots Nexus One #10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install either 1.2 android-wired-tether.
2. Connect USB cable, open android-wired-tether, start tether.
3. Allow computer to detect USB connection, install driver (NDIS)
automatically on Win7, establish connection.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the program to connect, and remain connected.  Instead, the phone
reboots without any warning as soon as the computer receives a DHCP IP address.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.2 both reboot the Nexus One.
Windows 7 Ultimate
Android 2.1 with update, rooted Nexus One

Please provide any additional information below.

Kernel 2.6.29-bacon1
build number ERE27
