Should we try to set up LDAP, Radius or some other central auth system (or just sync passwd/shadow)?

I think a centralised auth system would make our life easier if we are continuing with a multi-system setup, be that as VMs like now or as containers (if they have their own authentication lists). So yes, that's a thumbs up for me.
