Currently the widget does nothing when placed on the system tray, either

[x] Remove that possibility
[x] Additionally, and related to https://github.com/luisbocanegra/plasma-panel-colorizer/issues/1 investigate if it's possible to make it work when is also hidden in the tray.

I don't think this is worth the effort. Hiding as a regular widget works just fine.
