Read README! The have exemple of config

toshibochan commented 6 years ago

"platforms": [{ "platform": "FoscamCamera", "name": "Foscam", "cameras": [{ "username": "admin", "password": "password", "host": "192.168.1.10", "port": 88, "stay": 13, "away": 15, "night": 14

toshibochan commented 6 years ago

You need username, password, host, port to work

schweppy commented 6 years ago

I did read me. And it says that the username and port are not necessary and they default to admin and port 88. In any case I tried it with both and still has a config.json error.

softservicegit commented 6 years ago

Please ha a look at the “ you use. In the mail there different type of quotes. Perhaps you cut and paste the json file in word.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards

Past your config in this site and look for erro https://jsonlint.com

toshibochan commented 6 years ago

One more thing! Always change the password and username of your cameras to not get hacked! And is good to make the port, all different in each camera!

toshibochan commented 6 years ago

Is better to never use default username and password

schweppy commented 6 years ago

Thankyou for the quick replies. I did change the passwords but put fake ones on this thread.

Hmmm i have used " should i be using something else?

My config.json is exactly as above (running on a Mac mini)

schweppy commented 6 years ago

Jsonlint gives me errors for every colon??

Error: Parse error on line 1: "platform": "BelkinWeMo","noM ----------^ Expecting 'EOF', '}', ',', ']', got ':'

Hope images are allowed here:

Please compare the doublequotes marked with the arrows. They are different.
