Feature Request/Suggestion #90

Hi, First of all, thanks for adding my name in contributors' list. I am very touched. :)

My feature request is, it would be beneficial for a viewer or learner to see "Moves Tree" inside the game window all the time. There should be an option to show Moves Tree always. I don't know how easy or difficult it is to implement it, but it is definitely beneficial for people like me who use Lucaschess for only one feature like this, in my case it is Moves Tree. You can also add option to show book always like this. The similar feature to Moves Tree is "Mask" in Tree window in Scid Vs PC and Scid. You can see that below. image I think the advantage of Moves Tree is, it shows variations after double clicking the move as well as evaluations, that option is not available in Mask of Scid. But at the same time Scid's Mask is visible when you scroll through your game, whereas in Moves Tree one has to open Moves Tree from Utilities all the time. It is quite inconvenient. Hope you would like my suggestion.

The closest thing to this in the programme is from Utilities/Change starting position/Opening, where you can work directly on the board.

Hmm, but I guess there, one has to remember many names of openings as well as names of variations. Also, once moves go deeper and deeper, this approach seems to be difficult to handle.

Perhaps if there were a kibitzer, i.e. a separate window, active at all times, but separate, with the movement tree, it would work for you.

Fantastic idea! Adding "Moves Tree" feature in Kibitzer options. Probably easier for you to go this way instead of changing main layout. Then you can even remove it from "Utilities" options and make it available only from "Kibitzers" options. This is a very clever idea.
