Hi, and it is working for you? on my side the switch is really toggling the apple tv if pressed .. twice. And the displayed status is not accurate :(
I’m currently using it as a switch, but I’ve tried both. Not sure of a practical difference which is why I’m sorta curious how others are choosing between one or the other :)
For me the TV accessory is not showing up in the Home app if I try to enable it :)
Just chiming in here, the power on/off switch is...finicky. It is right 99% of the time, but I have a trigger automation where if the appletv powers off, it turns off my receiver, and if the appletv powers on, it turns it on. The switch will erroneously report "off" in the middle of watching something, and of course then my receiver powers off, but then it will report "on" again momentarily, and then the receiver kicks back on.
I'm not sure what to do about that, other than put some sort of a wait status in there - like you have to report "off" more than once consecutively to get a report that way via Homekit. I don't have any great ideas, because I haven't personally dug into the source code to see what's happening under the covers.
For power on/off... is there an advantage to using one or the other?
They both seem to serve the same function/purpose within the Home app?
Trying to figure out which one to enable... have tried both but besides the icon, not sure how they're different :)
