Suddenly Not Working #335

My HP04 suddenly does not react to any action controlled by Homebridge

megaphonixmusic commented 4 months ago

Confirming I also can't seem to get my Dyson purifier to work on my end either. Machine still has a static IP, I tried regenerating a credential token, etc. and it's still not working through Homebridge. It still responds normally through the Dyson app, so I know the machine is still connected.

Similar behaviour here. It responds to commands, I can see the command being passed in the logs, but the Dyson doesn't actually change status. In the Home app, after issuing he first command, it switches to this state forever

Rebooting the phone and/or Apple TV (not sure yet which had an impact) fixed the issue for about a day.

Hi new user here. I just set this up and am experiencing the same behavior with my PH04. It shows up in Apple Home after I configure the plugin, enable the child bridge mode, and add it to Apple Home. Like AdeTheus, if I try to turn on the fan from Apple Home, it says "turning on..." but nothing ever happens and the fan remains off. The same is true if I turn it on(via the remote of power button on the fan) and try to turn it off via Apple Home. This is shown in the Homebridge logs when I try to turn on my PH04 from Apple Home.

And this is what I get when i try to turn it off via Apple Home:

I'm getting the same issue, no error in logs. Tried a child bridge encountering same issue as above. I have the BPO4

smorello87 commented 3 months ago

Same issue with HP04

megaphonixmusic commented 3 months ago

Any updates here? Noticed the plugin version got bumped for a separate issue but still experiencing issues connecting here. Let me know if I can provide any other info to help troubleshoot. Appreciate the work on this plugin!

Hi all, just wanted to provide an update here. Turns out silly old me didn't assign a static IP to the Dyson fan, so it changed, which broke the functionality. I have since assigned a static IP on my router, updated the plugin config accordingly, and it's back to working fine.

Give that a shot if you're having the same problem :)

I'm having this issue all of a sudden so i had to check if there were updates. Indeed there were some updates but it didn't resolve this issue. I have my Dyson with static ip address and has not changed it since i set this up.

It would be nice to get this fixed 🙏

Okay i got it working again.

I tried clearing the cache from my Dyson bridge, which kinda destroyed all of my automation and i had to add the bridge hub to my HomeKit again. This didn't work.

Then i found an old Reddit post telling me to restart the router. I restarted my router and my hoobs and it's back, well connected.
