lukebemishprojects / Tempest

Dynamical, regional winter weather, meant to make your in-game skies as miserable as those outside! Tempest adds noise-based, datapack-controllable regional winter storms, which bring snow, sleet, and ice that melts when the storm is gone.

Configuration file #52

I would like to use this mod in a pack, however I would like to tweak some of the settings of the mod. Unfortunately there is no configuration file, would you be able to add one?

lukebemish commented 3 months ago

You're going to need to provide more information than that. What do you want to configure?

EmmaTheMartian commented 3 months ago

I'd like to be able to configure the odds for events to happen, toggle specific behaviours (such as black ice), along with potentially settings to change the amount of particles rendered.

lukebemish commented 3 months ago

There are no "events" that happen; weather is regional and controlled by time-dependent noise. That noise should already be configurable via datapacks. I'll look into allowing configuration of stuff like black ice; for particles, it should just follow the same logic as vanilla rain/snow particles?

EmmaTheMartian commented 3 months ago

Oh alright. The particles felt a bit different to me, maybe that was another mod at play though.

lukebemish commented 3 months ago

The particles use different textures, which may be more dense than the vanilla ones. You can change that with a resource pack.
