Thanks for this great resource, it's been a big help for preparing my lectures on birth-death models. I think there are typos in the following equations: https://github.com/lukejharmon/pcm/blob/16853c23f3844ace8b1863c15ade53ba9ae844cb/chapter10_birthdeath.html#L136 https://github.com/lukejharmon/pcm/blob/16853c23f3844ace8b1863c15ade53ba9ae844cb/chapter10_birthdeath.html#L141
where e^rt should be e^{rt}. It seemed funny to me that t wasn't in the exponent and I think the formulas in Foote et al. indicate that the latter should be the case.
e^rt
e^{rt}
t
Nearby, I think i should be an n: https://github.com/lukejharmon/pcm/blob/16853c23f3844ace8b1863c15ade53ba9ae844cb/chapter10_birthdeath.html#L153
i
n
