Hey all -- I really liked the idea behind this repo, but GuideLime wasn't quite working for me (forgetting which step i was on, auto-completing / skipping steps it shouldn't, etc). Therefore, I decided to completely rewrite GuidLime and the generator to create guides for this new addon. I call this new Addon "LiveGuide."

I've shared my addon with the classicwow.live team, and they've asked me not to publish it, but I figured if you're the type of person who looks through github issues, you're probably a small minority of the community and thought you might enjoy this addon.

So, here's LiveGuide -- An alternative to this project some of you might enjoy! If folks like it, I would consider pushing it up as a git repo with it's own issues so we can collaborate.

It's just a normal wow addon, so please copy/paste it into your normal Addons folder. It contains the guides for all races and classes, so no need to generate or parse your own guides.

Thanks for sharing @rawrschachwow. The classicwow team understandably don't want their guides to be used without their permission but they aren't providing an optimal user experience for those using them. Our goal this whole time (or at least when we were maintaining it actively), like yours, has been purely focused on providing a better experience for the community.

It'd be great if you created a page for it as it'd give you a chance to provide a wiki or at least a README with some more info on how it works and what to expect.

@rawrschachwow Been using the addon a while now, have you published it anywhere? I think it needs a function to auto skip Pick Up and Turn In steps for quests that already complete.
