Split collections create invalid JARs #148

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Create JARs with attached collection and thml files

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

2.4.1 (was ok up to 2.4.0)

Hello Jan,

Nice to hear from you again, after a long gap in communications.

I tried it with v2.4.0 and it would not compile either.
No error messages, either.

I also tried it with a full NT collection, no splits.
That also gave the same symptoms, nothing was made.

It would seem that you missed the requirement to include this line in the
collections file:

Source-Format: thml

GBC version 2.4.1 does send a suitable message to the standard output, but did
not flag a problem by setting errorlevel in Windows, because there was no
stderror output. If you'd scripted the build command, and had no pause
afterwards, you may have missed seeing the standard output message.

GBC version 2.4.0 did also require the source-format to be specified.
All my own collections files have been including this since April 2010.

So, problem fixed. Updated text file is inside the attached Zip.

PS. You could include the 512KB splits within the same collections file as for
the full NT or full Bible.

PS2. Collections files are allowed to include blank lines and comments.
// This is a comment line.

btw. No need to have "collections" as part of the file name.

Jan,

Further note! Issue 148 description was misleading, IMHO.

No JAR or JAD files were made (here) when the source format specifier was
omitted, so they could hardly be called invalid.

fio: I'm using Windows 7, 64-bit OS, with Java SE Version 6 Update 24 (the
latest).

I'd be interested to know of your interest in Cambodia. See

Hi David,

I shouldn't really create new apps at half past midnight... Of course the JAR
files were fine all the time. Just wap installation on wap.heidoc.net doesn't
work for whatever reason and produces errors, which I mistook for invalid
files...

The Cambodia page is still empty. There's actually quite a lot of stuff that
should be placed on it, which may take some more months or so.

We're going to Phnom Penh next year to work for a new startup company:
www.khalibre.com (but more about that on the Cambodia page, hopefully very
soon).

Blessings,
Jan
