Make red letters for Words of Christ a GB user preference rather than a GBC build option. #95

A translator has made a good suggestion regarding red letters.

Instead of making that a GoBibleCreator build option, would it not be
better to make that a GoBible user preferencce?

In other words, if \wj ... \wj* tags are present (USFM example), encode the
locations of where red letters should be, but show them in red or black,
whichever the reader prefers.

NB. Implementing this would require an extra item in the UI.

It would be nice to have the changes the require a UI addition be linked
somehow; as
it seems there is a growing number of these changes. And in cases like this
one, the
code to do it isn't very difficult - but the UI additions is a Huge issue.

See my email sent today, which addresses the hurdle of extending the UI.

Is this an enhancement for 2.4.0?

Original comment by dhinton...@gmail.com on 29 Mar 2010 at 9:42

Only if done in conjunction with Extended-UI: true
as discussed in detail by private emails.

And only if both these enhancements can be done speedily.
Otherwise, we should tackle this for a future v2.5.0

The UI item "Words of Christ in red" should not appear in Preferences if the
Bibical
text in the JAR file does not contain a single instance of UTF-8 character 0x1.

Otherwise we will get reports from users complaining that they set it "On" and
"Nothing happened".
