url not allowed

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. try to shorten a url

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- shortened url
- I always get the Url not allowed message

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

2.4.2 on a CENTOS production server.

Please provide any additional information below.

I checked previous issues, but to what i found, problems should have been 
solved.

I had the same problem. Check your config.php file. The SITE_URL should be WITH 
"http://" but WITHOUT trailing slash. Example:

define('SITE_URL', 'http://www.example.com');

Yeah, this is an issue with a trailing slash having been added in the config.
