What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. http://timemap.googlecode.com/svn/tags/2.0.1/examples/google_earth_sync.html
2. Install plugin from that page
3. Mess around then try to move the window, and the system will crash

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
My system crashed/shut off, you expletives.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
See URL above, probably 2.0.1 (on Mac OS X snow leopard 32-bit)

Please provide any additional information below.
Grrr!

If you install the official google earth plugin, it seems to work just fine.

This must be a Google Earth bug. Nowhere in the code am I specifying a link for
the Google Earth plugin - this is supplied by Google. So they must be providing
the wrong link for your OS - sorry.

I think this should be reopened. I had a friend try the same thing with his
firefox browser, and it froze the browser. Maybe you should recommend that
people download the Google Earth plugin BEFORE running this.

My friends system is vista x64 amd quad core ATI Radeon 5800. My mac has ATI
Radeon X1600. Another friend with an Nvidia card and windows 7 had no problem
with firefox. Perhaps it's just a matter of restarting the browser after
installing the plugin.

I understand the concern, but my point is that as long as the page follows the
Google API, the installation of the Google Earth plugin is out of the scope of
my project. I don't even know what I'd do on my end to fix this - all I'm
currently doing is loading the Google Earth plugin through the standard API. As
a bug, this is better directed to Google - maybe here:
