I don't think it will work. Different chipset, different manufacturer
Ok, I understand you. I am still able to send back my Z790 mainboard and I will replace it with your choosen mainboard. So, with that setup and your EFI, i will get this system running, right? I mean, i got the same cpu & gpu as you do. Would be awesome if you can verify that.
The other thing is, I need a Thunderbolt 3 connection for my soundcard. And on the ASUS there is already TB4 built in. Did you get the TB4 ports of the Asus Mainboard runnin on your Hackintosh system?
I just bought also extra a Thunderbolt 3 PCi card to get my soundcard running with the Gigabyte Z790 system. The good thing will be, that the card will be useless and I can send back that TB card too.

That is the one I just bought
It should work without any problems.
That sounds good.
And what about your USB mapping? USB 3.1, 3.2 and Thunderbolt works proper on the Mac OS system?
I will add an updated 0.89 OC version within the next few days. USB works with my map, TB works too. If not directly, you need to warm reboot. I do not use Intel wifi/bt due to stability.
Awesome, looking forward! My z690 will be delivered tomorrow. But what is your solution for wifi & bt? external wifi card?
You can use a FENVi card with compatible broadcom chipsets. Available on Amazon. I personally don't use wifi/bt at the moment.
That FENVi cards works with your model, right? What are you using for internet? the LAN port?
The FENVi cards work OOB. LAN port for internet
Thanks buddy for your time! looking forward to your 0.89 Update!
Just one last question, before i forget it: did you left the bios settings on default or did you changed somethin for your setup?
Default
hey lukeslater, sorry for reaching you out. We just tried yesterday the whole night to get a EFI running on my system. I got the Z790 Gaming X AX from Gigabyte, the 13th i9 13900K and the Sapphire 6900XT gpu. The biggest problem is still that we are not able to get the AHCI settings running. Most of EFIs we found just need this option. Would your EFI run on my system? Would be great if you can share your experience with me. thanks in advance!
