New misbehavior for binding `alt+a`, `alt+e`: scope vs. line #26

I just noticed on a fresh install that alt+a, alt+e bring me to the beginning/end of scope instead of line -- investigate if this reproduces.

Ahh, this is the markmacs mode setting... This surfaces the issue #24 though. Maybe should disable / remove markmacs mode for now?
