Open questions:

Can the same month appear both on the left and right? How should navigation be limited to avoid selecting invalid ranges?
Isn't showing the selected dates in the popup (instead of only in the original input) confusing?

UI Kit 2.x component currently doesn't offer the left presets panel.

We should also expose the calendar by itself. See https://dev.material-ui-pickers.dev/demo/daterangepicker as a reference implementation.
