Can't highlight text in new 2.1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I'm interested in the new custom dictionary feature and tried your firmware. I 
flashed my PRS950 with stock firmware to PRS+ 2.1 directly.
Next I opened an epub and try to highlight some text with no success.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Nothing happened. I can't highlight any text, therefore I can not save a note.

Hi, I'm no coder but I have also experienced that issue even with just Sony 
Firmware.

The problem seems to arise when you somehow modify a book which already has 
notes. (Example you edit it in Sigil in your HDD and reload through Calibre, 
but without previously erasing the eReader one).

If you fully delete the ebook (example through the eReader) and then reload it, 
or if you delete ALL the notes, the issue dissapears.

Nevertheless I don't know if the PRS+ addition can trigger the issue somehow...

(OTOH try highlighting in a brand new book in order to see if your highlight 
function is FUBAR or if its FUBAR only in one book).

If you hadn't changed any settings yet, existing behaviour should be 
unaffected. If you did, please list the relevant settings here (tap/swipe 
settings, and dictionary options).

Also, please see if the problem occurs if you boot into safe mode (turn the 
reader on with usb connected, PRS+ isn't loaded then).

I flashed PRS+ 2.0.18 and the problem disappeared.
Tomorrow, I will try again and I will make suggested tests.

I flashed 2.1 and now, I can highlight the same ebook ¿?¿? so... I tried to 
reproduce the problem and I found that if I execute the calculator a lot of 
random problems occur. I used it the past time and view that didn't work. Maybe 
It was the problem.

Glad to hear the issue is (more or less) sorted. The calculator causing 
problems is likely due to general app/games instability (issue 191).
