PRS+ 2.1.01 alpha for 650 - Unable to connect to Reader or upload books #359

Your model / PRS+ version?
Sony PRS 650 Touch / PRS+ 2.1 alpha for 650

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Can't really tell,'cause after shut down it's back to original Sony firmware
(1.0.00.14080).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When connected to PC, only drive "SETTING" shows up. SD-cards appear also
normal, but what should be drive "READER" can not be accessed by Windows nor by
Callibre.
Trying to install PRSP 650 2.0.18 results in an error, while Setup claims 2.1
alpha to be active, even when the Reader itself shows no sign of it.

P.S.
The Reader is fully functioning also battery will be charged normal, but no
chance to to change firmware or books at all.

Hi,
are you sure you didn't load in "safe" mode?
When reader is connected to USB during startup, PRS+ doesn't load.

This doesn't explain why you don't have "READER" drive though, as in this case
you're on stock Sony firmware.

First, fortunately(after diassambling/assambling the battery) my Reader was
accessable again, so i could uninstall PRS+ 2.1.01 alpha and reinstall version
2.0.18. Now it's all back to normal again. No more connect problems.

My guess is, it had something to do with the new "USB feature" wich should
allow you to choose between data connection and simply charging the battery -
also i NEVER changed this setting...
