Very bizarre spectre key issue #256

I am in a creative world and after using the Spectre Key two times, I am unable to use it anymore. The animation starts, but suddenly cancels after about three seconds. There is nothing in the log that I can find.

Is there a known conflict with some mods?

And it started working again after I went back to where I had initially used it. >.< Weird.
