Conky window dissapears when I click on desktop. #475

I have just installed conky with a simple config file : conkyrc For transparency I have enabled Composition Manager, clearing Desktop Settings - Windows Settings - Disable Composition Manager. But when i click on desktop the conky window disappears. More info at Conky disappearing when I click on desktop

I have tested and can confirm problem: https://youtu.be/pu61GTn4i2g Used same config, only tweaked cpu number and changed network interface name. Conky is started from console, and disappears after I click on desktop.

Hello,

I think the problem comes from the way the background is managed. When I use xwininfo and click on the background, the window id is not reported as "root window".

Due to this "non-root window", there is another side effect. In keyboard shortcut advanced editor, OnDesktop keyword is ignored and the following shortcuts do not work (use mouse wheel on background to switch workspace): OnDesktop Mouse4 :nextWorkspace OnDesktop Mouse5 :prevWorkspace

I tried to start fluxbox alone and the OnDesktop shortcuts work as well as conky.
