Thinking about how to collect certain kinds of events, in particular "workshops" and "learning" or "pedagogy" (as possible tags). Things like the Erotica workshop, an earlier Mary Walling Blackburn event, polish language lessons (since lapsed, but they might come back).

And it's making me think we actually might want to have a drop down menu item afterall, maybe just:

"S.L.S.C." -> S.L.S.C.R. -> Bradley Eros VHS Archive -> Henry Street Tool Library -> Workshops -> Members -> Social Club Research (tumblr page link)

Is that more or less easy to do? :)

@dgoats Sorry, this slipped by me earlier!

Re: collecting certain kinds of events, as long as we're tagging posts it should be pretty easy easy for me to throw together custom SLSCR-style pages for whatever we want.

Re: the dropdown menu, would that be in addition to the nav that's on the site currently? I.e. should 'Gatherings', 'Rentals', etc. remain top-level links there? Or do you think everything should be grouped under a single dropdown?

  1. OK that's great.
  2. Maybe SLSCR should be "SLSC" and on the page it leads to there is an about text, but SLSC could also be a dropdown to SLSCR, Eros VHS Library, a few other things. I think we should leave "Gatherings" "Rentals," etc. up at the top. I am thinking there should be submenus at the tops of certain pages, so on the SLSC page we have SLSCR, Eros VHS Library, N Henry Street Tool Library, 607CSA, and things of that like?

Okay, I added something here: https://the-sunview.netlify.com/ Thought? I wasn't totally sure how to handle the styles - maybe the border is weird. Also wondering about mobile/small screens... Maybe everything should be hidden in a single menu for mobile?

(Sorry for the radio silence - I've been traveling/sick/starting a new job the past couple weeks.)
