Alternative command names would be add-a, add-i and add-ia, which are very confusing to the user, and still prone to typos due to how similar the commands are to each other. Even worse, the user could easily type the wrong command mistakenly, which will cause an unintended action in the app, and we want to avoid that as much as possible. We also stated our design considerations for this in our DG, including the pros and cons and why we chose this method of implementation.

Reason for disagreement: I understand that the DG has explained the current choice is less confusing for first timers. I have read the DG design considerations before reporting this as a bug.
I think the point of this being a feature flaw still stands. Some commands are a bit too long, like add-itinerary-attraction
. Combined with many parameters, it will be hard to type even for experienced typists.
If the keywords (attraction
, itinerary
, etc) are shortened, since there are only a handful of commands and they all use the same keywords, the users will get proficient with them and become more efficient in the long run.
Some commands, such as
add-itinerary-attraction
could be a bit too long for confort even for good typist.Maybe using short forms can reduce the amount of typing needed to execute these commands.
