Whenever we open a link in the background, or open new tabs for any reason, they're always added at the very end of the list of tabs. I think it would be really convenient and preferred in almost all cases if new tabs were instead opened right after the current tab (i.e. beside the current tab). Extensions like Vimium use this kind of behavior.

Sorry, I didn't see that this is already an open issue at #63 . I guess I'll be another person to say that the firefox newtab behavior would be really great.
