Darker chunks colors in Rmd #8

Hi. I love the Material Palenight theme. How can I set a darker color for Rmd chunks? I find it hard to identify code chunks when working with a Rmarkdown file. I've tried editing the theme's files, but had no success. Thanks in advance.
