'events' is only allowed for extensions and packaged apps, and this is a legacy packaged app. #208

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use google chrome canary(developer version)
2. Install Advanced REST Client
3. Try to make a post query

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was expecting some kind of response, however, I only saw google chrome report
"Unknown error occured: 'events' is only allowed for extensions and packaged
apps, and this is a legacy packaged app."

On what operating system, browser and browser version?
Win7

That's shouldn't happen. I'll look into this. Now I'm working on upgrading the
app to packaged app so it should be fixed soon.

Same for Chrome 32.0.1664.3 dev-m Aura...

Is there a workaround, or can this be ported to a 'non-legacy' packaged app?

I'm working on upgrade to packaged app right now. Refer to app's Google+
profile for more information. Note that I have to redesign whole app
architecture on order to fit packaged apps requirements. So it take some time.
However I'm half way there :)
