It would be nice to have the same interface(way of calling and line processing) 
in each script. The same treatment of STD(IN,OUT,ERR) and same names for 
processing of lines ...

In regards to naming I think the names should reflect the function (eg. 
tokenize, reinsert, ...) rather than be consistent.

Regarding the use of STD* I searched for "print STD" to verify that it wasn't 
used in places where die/warn should be used. Please file separate issues for 
specific places where you think STD* was not used correctly.
