Monitor mode not working. #8

When trying to switch to monitor mode in Ubuntu 12.04 Kernel 3.5.0-23-generic

user@Ubuntu-Usb:~$ sudo iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) : SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.

As I have no device, it is not possible for me to extend the capabilities of the Realtek driver. You are welcome to do so. Any patches will be incorporated into the driver.

Was there any update on this.. is monitor mode supported with this driver?

Was also looking for monitoring with this driver. Looks like Larry can't do it. Maybe some other knowledgeable folk can work on this?
