Thought I installed the incorrect driver. I actually did it correctly. Still have the same issues...
Installed with the instructions DKMS packaging instructions : SAME ISSUES. Installed with the instructions Easy Linux Tips Project : The rtw89 driver from lwfinger for the ... RTL8852BE... SAME ISSUES.
I didn't actually need the rtw89 driver...
My issue: Stock LMDE 6 w/ Kernel: 6.1.0-23 didn't show any options for WiFi. (My machine is a Lenovo Idea Pad 1 15ADA7 w/ RTL8852BE PCIe 802.11ax Wireless card.)
SOLVED WiFi / Wireless network worked perfectly when I just updated the kernel to the latest version:
sudo apt install -t bookworm-backports linux-image-amd64
then reboot. (Updated me to kernel Kernel: 6.10.6+bpo-amd64)
THIS WAS THE ONLY THING I HAD TO DO! after a clean LMDE 6 install/updates.
I STARTED W/ Lenovo Ideapad 1 originally loaded w/ Windows 11. Bluetooth & WiFi worked fine w/ Windows 11. Disabled Secure boot and Fast boot. Loaded LMDE6; used USB Ethernet dongle & installed all updates and rebooted. AT THIS POINT: NO OPTION AT ALL FOR WiFi
THEN I INSTALLED RTW89 WIRELESS DRIVER (USING THE DKMS OPTION) https://github.com/lwfinger/rtw89?tab=readme-ov-file#dkms-packaging-for-debian-and-derivatives
THE GOOD NEWS: WiFi option and network scanning appear to work
THE BAD NEWS/ ISSUES (AFTER INSTALLING rtw89 WIRELESS NETWORK DRIVERS): All WiFi options 0%: Msg that Pops up ~every Minute ip a "state DOWN"
