This issue was opened by a bot after a user submitted feedback through the in-app form.

Message:

Heya, I've been using alttab for a few years now and it's absolutely wonderful!

There's one feature that I think would be pretty neat, which is the ability to hide applications that have no windows, but are still running (such as safari, notes etc). As is it just shows the app icon.

It may exist and I just missed it but I flipped most combos and no luck so far.

Following up via github account (would rather my personal email not be public ;) )

I noticed there's an option in policies for per app settings, it would be neat if that could be added as a global option as well, or possibly a whitelist of apps to show when they have no window vs a blacklist.

Hi,

Everything you mention has been in the app for years 👍

The global toggle is in Preferences > Appearance > Customize... > Hide apps with no open windows

If you prefer to toggle it for specific apps, the Blacklist has an option to hide only when the app has no open windows. It's in the dropdown in the Hide column.

Thank you
