Preferences UI to hide the menubar icon is not very clear #503

This issue was opened by a bot after a user submitted feedback through the in-app form.

Message:

Hiding the menubar icon feels a bit unintuitive

Currently, to hide the menubar icon, you go to General -> Menubar icon, and then you have to figure out that selecting the empty space below other icons hides the icon (also, AltTab doesn't warn the user that to change the setting back, you have to be creative, but that's another issue).

The easiest way to fix this would be maybe to replace the blank icon with text (No icon / Hide / Hide (warning: to access preferences again, start AltTab manually from Applications)

or maybe have a checkmark that enables/disables the icon (and choosing an icon)

These are all good points. Indeed the UI can be improved. I guess I focused on compactness when developing, but forgot that not everyone is as tuned as me to the intricacies of the app.

That would make for an easy PR if someone wants to contribute ;)

Just wrote a feedback in app about no menu bar icon feature. And I found out this issue feedbackšŸ¤£.
