Please see https://github.com/lydiahallie/jsquiz/issues/2#issuecomment-596321813 😄

Hey :)

I understand you're not in a very happy place at the moment. No worries at all, it's quite easy to just unfollow my social media presence, or simply block it, that's what the actions are for 😄 If you ever need any help with anything, I'm always willing to help out if there's mutual respect :)

Obviously, I remove comments or issues that show disrespect. I love constructive criticism and learn so much from brainstorming with people on how to make things better for everyone! This would be a better approach for everyone in this case, and you wouldn't be spending your precious time opening and editing issues on GitHub, I'm sure you got better things to do than that 😄

I follow @lydiahallie and I refuse to let anyone do this shit to her especially from no one or from a coward who hides himself because of this.

This is horrible, and opening two issues like this isn't in the spirit of open source 😦

I find @lydiahallie to be an inspiration and I appreciate the effort she makes. Especially with making these excellent resources available, for free, to the community.

Best thing we can do is block, report, and maybe dab on the haters 😉

@lydiahallie Thanks again for more condescension. You're right. I'm unhappy with you. Your lifestyle is such a joke, and it's stupid how you shove it in people's faces as if it's the best way to live. No way is a developer this perfect and this infallible. It makes me sick.

No, I'm not perfect, but I'm willing to get better. No I don't have a rich software engineer daddy or remote job to pay for my plane tickets to travel around the world. Instead my only option was to stay in my hometown and nurture my relationships with my loved ones--you know, something you don't know to do for yourself. It's okay for women like myself to settle to you know. I think your critic on Twitter puts it best:

@perth12 What do you have to gain from this abuse? We only get so many minutes in our lives. Is this honestly the way you want to spend yours: tearing other people down, training your subconscious to enjoy spreading negativity? It's not the way to live. I feel bad for you. And the worst part, you know it's wrong or you wouldn't hide your identity. 😢

In case anybody else needs this info like I did this morning, here's Github's policies for reporting abuse.

tl;dr:

  1. Go to the user's profile
  2. Click the "Block or report user" link
  3. Submit a support ticket describing how the user has broken the Github Community Guidelines (tip: Check out the Bullying and harassment section)
