The many implementations of Ruby (Is Ruby in crisis?!) #18

At Baruco we heard several presentations on the merits or otherwise of MRI, JRuby, Rubinius - there was even a sense of conflict between these projects. I propose a talk/discussion on the current state of the various versions of Ruby - to better understand the problems they perceive, and the perspectives they adopt.

I'm scheduling you for october!

novemberkilo commented 10 years ago

Sounds good! I'd like to start off with a presentation but also call on people with experience and/or knowledge of the area to discuss their point of view. To that end, if you are interested in contributing to the discussion, please be in touch ...

I won't be in Lyon that week. Sorry.

michaelbaudino commented 10 years ago

That's an interesting subject, even if I won't be very constructive : I use MRI almost exclusively :-(

@novemberkilo : I understand you wanted to give a small talk to introduce the debate, is this still ok?

novemberkilo commented 10 years ago

Yes - will prepare some background material that should be useful.
