Long-tweet embedding (hotot.in) expansion results in butchered text with HTML tag-like contents

Someone's stripping anything that looks like tags after an html entity decode, and it's affecting tweet text contents.

Tweet text:

Result:

mwalling: given that my office ASL codename is the sign for 'jizz everywhere', a 25-minute moped ride from school to work in the snow would probably result in much embarrassment

Hotot.in page contents:

<HoopyCat> mwalling: given that my office ASL codename is the sign for 'jizz everywhere', a 25-minute moped ride from school to work in the snow would probably result in much embarrassment

as you can see, anything that looks like html-tags on output is stripped.
