RSS feeds are throwing errors and visiting the main site page shows: "503 Over Quota This application is temporarily over its serving quota. Please try again later."

Ah, I see. Didn't think to check the closed issues since it's still going.

Thanks for the update, hopefully it's better tomorrow.

The problem continues, is there no way to block the ip of the person causing the problem to the service? It's been 5 days.

I can try to although it might not be permanent. I've added an IP block, see how it goes tomorrow.

I think it's sane to say, that a self-hostable solution is desired.

I play wack-a-mole with this user, but there is no guarantee that it does not come back. That being said it's pretty easy to deploy your own version of the service with GCE with a free account. I recommend that if you depend on this heavily.
