Hi! On the official guide the HD 5450 is supported, but the OpCore-Simplify tells me that it is not... is this normal? Thx in advance! :) Screenshot_20241106-153143

I've updated the information in Hardware Sniffer, but I haven't updated it for OpCore Simplify, partly because very few people need it

There is no problem! Take all your time and do it when you can and when you want :p Tell me when everything is good 🔥👍

It says "Unsupported" on Intel(R) HD Graphics (Haswell GT1). In opencore guide it says Intel iGPU: Sandy Bridge (2nd Gen) → Ice Lake (10th Gen) ... means should be supported. What am I missing?

Hi!

Following up on our previous conversation, I wanted to ask if there are any plans to support touchscreen functionality. I understand that OpenCore can emulate a touchscreen as a trackpad for macOS, but I’m not sure how straightforward it is to set up.

Could you let me know if this feature is on the roadmap, and if so, whether there are specific steps required to enable it? Thx in advance for your help!

Touchscreen is already supported on both USB and I2C connections, and OpCore Simplify also has the necessary changes to enable it. Are you facing any issues?

I also have a Lenovo t470p touch laptop but it doesn't work in macOS

Ok update: I found a solution for the touch. It seems that I had done the USB mapping wrong, now it works without problem!

I'm changing the subject but suddenly, I recommended this tool to someone! but it has problems with (old hp pc) the iGPU, more precisely when you change the resolution the screen becomes strange and macOS is no longer usable at all. We don't know exactly why this problem occurs unfortunately :(

1440p (no problem) IMG_5844

but… 1080p : IMG_5845

Spec:

HP Compaq Elite 8300 SFF • CPU: i7-3770 (Ivy Bridge) • Motherboard: Hewlett-Packard 3397 (Q77 southbridge) • BIOS: K01 v03.08 • iGPU: HD Graphics 4000 (no dGPU/eGPU) • RAM: 8GB DDR3 (2x4GB, 1600MT/s) • Storage: 256GB SSD • Ethernet: 82579LM • Audio: ALC221

He tested with another screen. But it's the same result as soon as he changes the resolution, it's strange... he uses DisplayPort to HDMI for the display, because VGA doesn't work on macOS according to what he told me

Try enable or disable CSM in BIOS

SplatPie commented 1 week ago

hi! It has no display anymore and it is forced to do a CMOS clear to have a new display. But that leaves the CSM enabled, if it disable, there is no display anymore :/

At the moment no solution works
