*MTL 1.6* Diagram or Design Files #119

@jamesmrollins

It is so exciting to be working with the MTL 1.6 release. Thanks for all your hard work!

It has often been helpful to have available the diagram files with the reveal layers. We have a branch of them from 2 months ago in the sim UI workgroup here: https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/tree/master/sim_ui_workgroup/sim_ui_diagram_files

Two questions:

  1. Do you have 1.6 files for CC, MM, PSY and AGG that can be posted here? (more important to me)
  2. Do you think it would be good (is it easy for you) to keep a record of the design files of the MTL iterations? (less important to me). In other words, we would organize this "sim_ui_diagram_files" folder into a folder for each release with the diagram files for each in it.

Let me know and thanks again!

Lindsey

Hi @jamesmrollins!

Following up on Lindsey's comments,

  1. Could you post updated MTL 1.6 pub, eps, and pdf files for CC, MM, PSY, and AGG? (I created a new subfolder for MTL 1.6: https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/tree/master/sim_ui_workgroup/sim_ui_diagram_files/mtl_1.6)

  2. Do you have files for all the icons in the sim (i.e. levels, gauges, expanded outputs tile q/h/f/d, etc.) that can be posted? We have a folder for them here: https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/tree/master/resources/icons

These will be really helpful for us as we finalize building out our resources with a consistent look and feel!

Thanks! Stacey

@jamesmrollins Thanks for sending the q/h/f/d icon files! Could you send the other files as well when you get a chance? (refer to above)

@lzim I converted and uploaded the png versions. They're all the same thickness and size. YES! https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/tree/master/resources/icons

Also, I ran into the issue that made me use png over svg. I haven't figured out how to make svg render in Outlook yet when sending team emails. I'll use these new icon files to update our pre/post templates

There are no 1.6 diagram files other than what is included in the design document file in the sim_ui_workgroup file. What other icons do you want? I don't have separate icon files for all, and would need to create them. So a list of desired icons would be very helpful.

Hi @jamesmrollins and @staceypark

Right sim_ui_workgroup only has the 1.6 Design Word document: https://github.com/lzim/teampsd/blob/master/sim_ui_workgroup/mtl_1.6/VA%20MTL_Design_Document_V1.6_6AUG18.docx

I am asking about

  1. the .pdf layer files that can be used to show the reveals for CC, MM, PSY and AGG when folks are not in the sim. These are VERY handy when hopping online doesn't make sense for the situation.

  2. I'm also asking about the actual Publisher files for MTL 1.6 that you used to make the speech bubble annotations we see in the Design Document. If we had these for MTL 1.6, then we may not need the list below.

  3. However, if we can collate the icons from the list below (as we have for other logos, etc.), then anyone can be tasked with making, updating any MTL resource that needs them.

List of generic MTL Icons needed for MTL guides, MTL cheatsheets and help

Top navigation:

Log-in

Session page

Main Tile:

Output Tile

Expanded Output Tile

This set of icons will really help us to draft our online glossary and help files, as well as session guides, etc.

Thanks!

Lindsey
